Recently, the maintenance project for the silicone asphalt mist sealed tunnel in Macau, China has been successfully completed.
During the use of asphalt roads, the asphalt in the asphalt mixture gradually ages under the joint action of vehicle wheel load and natural environment, manifested as a decrease in the adhesion of the binder, weakened waterproof performance, and easy appearance of fine pores and cracks on the road surface. If these phenomena are not addressed in a timely manner, they will further accelerate the decline in road performance. Therefore, when asphalt concrete roads experience extensive aging, preventive maintenance measures should be taken in a timely manner.
In this project, a series of diseases caused by asphalt aging have appeared on the asphalt pavement. The Go Green silicone asphalt mist seal layer restores and enhances the original performance by wetting, activating, repairing, and reducing aged asphalt, which can effectively extend the service life of the road and greatly reduce the maintenance cost of the road surface. At the same time, it has the effect of beautifying the road and rapid renovation, and the road surface is refreshed after construction.
The project covers an area of 4500 square meters and has a construction volume of 0.4L/m2
