Go Green Anti-Icing Agent is a new type of low-freezing-point road material designed to prevent surface icing. It can be mixed with asphalt during new road construction, expansion, or medium-to-large maintenance projects, and applied on the asphalt surface layer to effectively prevent icing in winter.
Road surface skid resistance is crucial for driving safety. In early and late winter, temperature fluctuations often cause thin ice formation after snow is compacted and refreezes, greatly reducing tire traction and increasing the risk of vehicle skidding, longer braking distances, and accidents.
Go Green Anti-Icing Agent effectively solves the problem of road surface icing, improves the anti-icing performance of asphalt pavements in cold and snowy regions, enhances driving safety, reduces accident rates and economic losses, and increases road capacity and operational efficiency. It maintains its anti-icing function for over 5 years, offering both economic and social benefits.
Main Functions
1. Core Anti-Icing Mechanism
Using components such as sodium chloride and calcium chloride, the agent lowers the road surface freezing point to as low as -20°C, directly preventing or delaying ice formation and achieving a "self-melting" effect during winter.
2. Extended Service Life
Through a controlled-release agent, the salts are released gradually and evenly, minimizing loss during non-icing seasons and ensuring long-term performance throughout the pavement's lifespan.
3. Environmental and Structural Protection
The corrosion inhibitor prevents damage to surrounding soil, vegetation, and water sources, and protects steel reinforcement in bridges — meeting strict environmental standards.
4. Road Performance Assurance
The reinforcing component protects modifier particles from crushing during asphalt mixing, ensuring the pavement maintains its designed strength, durability, and load-bearing capacity.
Construction Process
This product is suitable for coarse dense-graded asphalt mixtures. Recommended dosage: 5%–6% of total asphalt mixture weight. Bitumen content can be increased by 0.1–0.3%, and mineral filler content can be reduced by 20%–30%.
During on-site mixing, the product is added dry — at the same time as the mineral filler — directly into the mixer in one batch according to the specified ratio. No need to extend mixing time.
All other production and paving procedures remain the same as conventional hot mix asphalt, making it simple and convenient to apply.
Economic Advantages
Significant Savings on Winter Maintenance Costs
In areas prone to icing and freezing rain lasting 2–3 months, this product greatly reduces winter maintenance expenses, providing remarkable economic benefits.
Enhanced Winter Traffic Safety
The product enables proactive ice melting, effectively addressing stubborn icing problems, reducing accident risks, and ensuring road safety during winter.
Uninterrupted Road Operation
It helps prevent highway closures caused by icing disasters, minimizing economic losses and ensuring smooth transportation.
Application Range:
Suitable for road sections prone to icing during winter, especially:
1. Lakeside or riverside areas
2. Shaded road sections
3. Tunnel entrances/exits
4. Bridges and culverts
5. Long steep slopes
